Why Health & Wellness Coaching?

There is the expression, “your body is your temple”. It is. It is the house of your soul. How can you go about achieving all the things you would like to and need to, if that house that is not maintained? We often underestimate the value of looking after our physical selves. It is also important to note that our brains are physical. Their condition also affects how we operate. If your brain is operating poorly it can affect you mentally and emotionally. When it comes to our well-being, everything affects everything – mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Invest in yourself and look after your “temple”. It’s the only one you’re given.


What is health and wellness coaching?

As a wellness coach, I work with individuals to assess their wellness needs based on their current lifestyle. Depending on what a client’s wellness goals are, we would work on an 8 - 12 session programme to integrate achievable, sustainable wellness habits into their lifestyle. We are not robots and a huge benefit to living is enjoying life. We must ask ourselves if we are finding joy and happiness in the right areas and participating in the right type of fun. A social drink might be ok, but drinking to cope with stress is not. Skiing or riding roller coasters is definitely a thrill, but speeding on a road doesn’t just put you at risk but also the people around you. Human beings are creatures of habit. We find security and comfort in what we can predict. This is why it is difficult to break bad habits, because they give us predictable outcomes which give a level of comfort (even if those habits don’t serve us). I work with people to introduce good habits into their lives, to sustain their level of comfort and predictability, in a way that adds value to the lives they are already living. I coach because it is an absolute joy to watch people transform into better versions of themselves.


How do I do this?

We would meet in person or online every 1 – 2 weeks to discuss your progress on this journey to wellness. It takes in the region of 3 to 6 months to achieve the change in habits and lifestyle that work best for you, through a process resulting in real, measurable gains. This is sufficient time for you to see significant change in the way you are feeling, in your energy levels and enthusiasm for life. I will assist you to expose the lifestyle you want for yourself. Of course this takes effort, but I am there to support you the entire way. The value in these achievements is far more than you could ever imagine.
