When we came into this world, we were not given an instruction manual per se on how to navigate life. Of course, there is information out there through religious code, scientific studies, social norms etc. For the most part, however, we are raised and taught by our parents or guardians and are influenced by our inner circles and subconsciously or unconsciously formulate our values, habits and idiosyncrasies to relate with ourselves, others and the world around us.
At our core, human beings have basic needs which must be met on a biological and sociological level to be resilient, to perform at life and to live with purpose and meaning, resulting in a measure of personal fulfilment.
We all search daily for the perfect moments and the perfect outcomes. We chase happiness and fulfilment. As we age, we yearn for a day where we feel completely healthy with no aches, pains or niggles. We long for the comfort in relationships that we think are not there. We hope for the times that our minds are clear to make decisions confidently and recall information without effort. Small things in the day upset us at a very low level, but over time all the small things accumulate. We reach a point where we either can’t take anymore, or we are unsure how we came to this low point in our lives, or we question how to get out of the challenging circumstances we find ourselves in. A coach can help bring all these things into perspective for you – in your home, work or social environments.
Coaching is not therapy. That is not to say that coaching isn’t therapeutic. It is healing but not in the traditional sense. Coaching offers individuals new insight, alternative ways to approach ongoing challenges and new perspectives that snap us out of the tunnel vision we may not realise we are stuck in. Coaching offers one a way to lighten one’s burdens. It helps you to move forward and challenges you to grow in the direction you wish to see improvement and success. The possibilities from the results are endless and the successes are invaluable. What is the cost to living with hardship and its predictable results versus the cost to working with a life coach and the rewards you will benefit from?
